THE ANTI TRAFFIC PLAN

The Metro Manila-PIVAS or Provincial Integrated Bus Axis System will be starting to build before the year ends. This is a project by MMDA. According to them, this project will be a “World-class facility, like an international airport. There will be departure and arrival areas. In addition, all the terminals in Cubao, Blumentritt, Sampaloc, and Pasay will be on this project as well.

MMDA’s target is to minimize the number of public vehicles in Metro Manila everyday. Furthermore, almost 13,000 buses are traveling and half of these are provincial bus.

The Provincial Bus Operators Association of the Philippines says that MMDA has a very good intention but they are hoping that MMDA will give consideration especially when it comes to the masses. Also, according to some interviews, there are some local commuters who don’t like the idea of riding two buses just to go to the said port.

Tomorrow, MMDA will present their project to MalacaƱang.

For me, this is actually a good idea. Like just this morning, it took me 1 and a half hour just to work. Like damn! Traffic here in Manila is just too frustrating especially during rush hours or your line of work is in the morning.

Unlike the old administration of PCSO headed by Mr. Manoling Morato, We just hope that MMDA will really consummate the budget that the government will give them to make this project possible. Not only it will help our local commuters to have a traffic free environment but also it will make Metro Manila to look better.
