MANOLING MORATO IN HIS PLUNDER CASE. PART I

There has been a lot of incongruity from the old PCSO administration that was brought up to the prying eyes of public for the past months and names have been mentioned. Last Saturday in Failon Ngayon, ABS-CBN, and Mr. Ted Failon have disclosed the facts from the PCSO anomalies.

Here are the facts:

P2.7 Billion were spent for the PCSO machines.
P1 Billion were spent every year to rent the machines.
P25 Million if they will BUY the said machine.

P42 Billion were spent for the termal papers and signed a venture for half a century or in a span of 50 years but eventually cancelled last June 9.

The total rent for the machines since 2001 was P11 Billion on which if the old administration did save, PCSO could have built more hospitals, 11,500 ambulances and helped 37,000 cancer patients.

All the anomalies that happened since 1995, P5.3 Billion was spent for the PR fund, P10.7 Billion for the least agreement in PGMC and P42 Billion for the TMA termal papers. To sum it all up, the total money spent was a whopping P68 Billion.

Reportedly, the government filed a plunder case against Manoling Morato. Plunder means to rob of goods or valuables by open force, as in war, hostile raids, brigandage, etc. / to plunder the PUBLIC TREASURY.

Looks like the ex chairperson of PCSO got a dose of his own medicine. After all the false allegations that he declared during the current administration of Ms. Margie Juico, it was he who in fact stole the wealth of PCSO.

Alarming news indeed. People got dismayed especially those unfortunate Filipinos who are hoping that PCSO would help them. Instead of facilitating the needs of the poor as many as they can, the new administration is now facing a big problem because of the greediness of Morato.

What a shame! Morato always says that he is pro poor and the local government agencies should assist them in every way possible but in the end he’s the one who’s stealing their hope to fight for life and live for their families and loved ones.

Hope Morato can feel how it is to be on their shoes so he can experience how appalling it is to be sick and rely from others just to live.
