Dial M ni Manoling: Nauwi sa Bulsa ng Buwaya

Ang tanong, ano ba itong “Dial M” na isang TV show daw ni dating Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office chair na si Manoling Morato? May umere bang palabas na tulad nito?

Nakakatawa at may halong pagkadismaya na naman, dahil napakalaking kaban ng bayan ang naaksaya sa isang napaka walang kwentang bagay na kagaya nito. Di umano’y P7.2-milyon ang pinondo at ginastos ng PCSO sa show na ito ni Manoling. Tama… nakakabigla talaga.

Sa ginagawang imbistagasyon ng Blue Ribbon Committee ay kinuwestyon ni Senate President Jinggoy Estrada ang pagwaldas di-umano ng PCSO sa programang Dial M na nagkaroon lamang ng rating na .3 bilang pinakamataas at .0 naman habang pinakamababa.

“Kaya nga kayo nagpo-promote, kaya nga kayo gumagawa ng show katulad ng Dial M just to promote your products like the sweepstakes, like the lotto. Base naman sa pinalalabas n’yo sa Channel 4, konti lang nanonood minsan nga walang nanonood. Sa akin mukhang hindi naman nakakatulong,” giit ni Estrada.

Kung tutuusin nga naman ay talagang isa itong malaking pasabog sa kasaysayan ng PCSO. Hindi biro ang binitiwang pera ng ahensyang ito para lamang sa isang palabas na kahit kelan ay hindi naman talaga nakatulong sa pag-advertise ng PCSO.

Bukod pa dito, ang Dial M na pinagbidahan ni Morato ay pinagsamahan nila ni Maggie dela Riva bilang co-host ng nasabing palabas. Di-umano’y gumastos sila ng P4.3 milyon ng 2006, P6.3 milyon ng 2007, P5.7 milyon ng 2008, P5.6 milyon ng 2009 at P4.1 milyon ng 2010. Suma-total, ang kabuuang pera na inilabas ng ahensya para sa Dial M ay tumataginting na P26 milyon ang naaksaya.

Sa halagang ito, napakadami na sanang mahihirap ang natulungan. Madami na sanang may sakit na mga kababayan natin ang napagamot at higit sa lahat, madami sanang buhay ang nabigyan ng pag-asa. Sa laki ng halaga nito, kataka-taka naman talaga na naubos ito para sa isang palabas na ni hindi ko man lang nabalitaan na suma-hihimpapawid sa telebisyon.

Para na rin palang gumawa ng isang pelikula sa budget na ito. Buti sa pelikula may mapapala at matutunan ka pa.

GMA: Korte Hindi Kongreso

Sa mga kasong hinaharap nagyon ni ex-President at Pampanga 2nd District Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo hinggil sa ibat-ibang katiwalian, handa di umano siyang humarap sa korte at hindi sa Kongreso upang sagutin ang electoral fraud and graft cases na ipinupukol sa kanya.

Ang kanyang abogadong si Alwyer Raul Lambino ang nagsabing mas gusto di-umano ng dating pangulo na magkaroon ng pormal at maayos na forum upang sagutin niya ang lahat ng mga alegasyon tungkol sa kanya. Ayaw din daw ni GMA na humarap sa media tungkol sa mga kasong ito.

Isa sa mga isyung kinahaharap ngayon ni GMA ay ang katiwaliang nangyari sa PCSO sa ilalim ng kanyang pamumuno. Ayon kay Lambino, wala daw kinalaman ang dating pangulo sa di-umano’y ilegal at maling paggamit ng Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s intelligence fund.

Dagdag pa dito, nakahanda rin siyang sumailalim sa lifestyle check at handa raw siyang isagawa ito kahit anong oras.

“Pulitika na naman po ito. Maliwanag na ginagawa nila para pagtakpan serbisyo nila sa bayan,” ani Lambino.

Pagkakamali ni Juico, Nauwi sa Kaliwa't kananng Batikos

Halatang-halata ang panggagatong ni Manoling Morato sa isyu hinggil sa “Pajero Controversy.” Ano pa ba puwedeng itawag sa ’yo? Inggrato? Plastik? Demonyo? Lahat bagay sa taong ito. Ngayong nakahanap siya ng pagkakataong pumuslit ng mga bintang ay pinipilit naman niyang makisali sa hanay ng CBCP.

Ngayon pinapalayas naman sa puwesto si Margie Juico ni Pro-Life activist Baby Nebrida pagkatapos ilagay sa masama di-umano ni Juico ang simbahan.

“This has caused so much pain for the bishops and the Church. She should resign,” dagdag pa niya.

Matatandaang mahigpit ang word war sa pagitan nila Juico at Morato na nagsimula dahil sa paglipat ng PCSO from Quezon Institute to PICC. Labis na binatikos ang isyung ito na nag-ugnay sa iba pang mga malalalim na sikreto sa likod ng ahensyang ito. Simula nito, mistulang kaluluwang hindi matahimik na itong si Morato. Kaliwa’t-kanan ang pagpapainterbyu, dakdak dito, dakdak doon. Parang babae kung makipagbangayan.

Dagdag pa niya, kung siya daw si Pangulong Aquino ay patatalsikin niya agad ang buong board ng PCSO lalo na si Margie Juico. Asa ka namang magiging presidente ang isang kagaya mo. Asal pa lang, hindi na papasa sa pagiging lider na napakagaling magsalita, samantalang napakadami din namang nakahain na kaso sa kanya tulad ng plunder at kung anu-ano pang kaso ng pagnanakaw. Mukhang hindi naman uusad and kasong ito dahil matanda na itong si Morato at hindi na siya maikukulong pa.

Mainit ngayon ang isyu sa pagkakamali ni Margie Juico sa pagsabing ‘Pajero’ ang nabigay na sasakyan sa ilang obispo ng CBCP. Ngayong ilang beses naman ding inulit at binawi ni Juico ang kanyang kamalian.

“Somebody in PCSO told me it was a Pajero and that got spun around. I made a correction when I finally got the documents. It’s like when you say you bought a Frigidaire, when you mean a refrigerator. You say ‘Pajero’ when you mean SUV. I think that was how that impression came up,” ang pagtatanggol sa sarili ni Juico.

Kung makapagsalita ang CBCP ay para silang hindi mga miyembro ng simbahan. Samantalang katatapos lang ng ginawa nilang “public apology” ngayon ay humihirit sila ng kung anu-ano laban kay Juico dahil lang nakakita sila ng butas sa isyung ito. Dapat ang paghingi ng tawad ay taos sa puso, hindi yung ganyan. Isa na naman ba itong paraan ng paghuhugas-kamay?

Gaya ng sabi ni Juico, she already made a correction to herself. Ang totoong isyu dito ay ang ilegal na pag-donate at pagtanggap ng mga obispong ito sa mga sasakyang kagaya ng Montero, Crosswind at iba bang SUVs na alam naman ng lahat na nagkakahalaga ng malaking pera. Siguro ay inililipat lamang ng CBCP ang atensyon ng mga tao sa usaping ito upang mawala sandali ang masamang tingin sa kanila ng publiko.

Kung ako sa kanila, kung talagang hindi totoo ang ipinupukol sa kanila ay patunayan nila ito ng walang sinisirang tao. Patunayan nila ang “kadalisayan” nila kung wala talaga silang ginagawang kakaiba. Madami ang naniniwala sa Simbahang Katoliko, at hindi naman ikasasama ang pag-amin at pagsabi ng totoo.

Kay Morato naman, tumahimik ka na. Wala kang karapatan na diktahan ang ating presidente ng kanyang gagawin. Tumigil ka na. Matanda ka na at asikasuhin mo na lang ang sarili mo.

Para kay Ms. Margie Juico, ituloy niyo lang po kung ano sa tingin niyo ay tama. Kayo ang namumuno sa PCSO at gawin niyo po ang mga tamang hakbangin para sa ikabubuti ng ahensyang pinangangalagaan ninyo.

Juico, Nalugod sa Apology ng CBCP

Sa panayam kay Ms. Margie Juico, kasalukuyang Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office Chair, tungkol sa kontrobersyang hinaharap ngayon ng simbahan hinggil sa “Pajero Controversy,” sinabi niyang tuloy pa din ang paglilingkod ng PCSO kasama ang simbahan sa mga pagkakawang gawa at pagtulong sa mga mahihirap na Pinoy.

“The PCSO values its partnership with the Church. The charity institution shares the concerns of the Church in extending medical and health services to the poor and in helping make their lives a little better,” ani Juico.

Natuwa si Juico sa pagpapakumbaba ng CBCP nakaraang humingi sila ng apology sila sa Catholic Community at sa publiko hinggil sa paghingi at pag tanggap di-umano ng mga ito ng ilegal na donasyon galing sa naturang ahensya.

Kinakailangan ng courage, humility and grace from CBCP hierarchy para aminin at mag-apologize ng kagaya ng kanilang ginawa.

Sinabi rin ni Juico kasama ng PCSO board members na, “time has come for the healing of wounds, for reconciliation and for moving forward.”

Sadyang napakabait at mapag-unawa talaga itong si Juico. Karapat-dapat lang na siya ang mamuno sa PCSO ngayon hindi katulad nila Gloria Arroyo at Manoling Morato na walang ginawa kundi mag nakaw ng kaban ng bayan.

Talking about the constructive effects of the internet, of course there are still bad sides to it. People, especially kids, forget other things that they have to do because of online gaming. These became very popular from ages 9-20 – even big guys still do play online because they find it very manly.

Also, on the past reports, there were numerous cases of murders associated with these social networking sites. They say money can’t buy love. But most people say, if you have the money, you can buy all the things in this world. A world where everything seems to have value. Where everyone seems to be fond of material things.

Money is the root of all evil. It makes people greedy and corrupt. It just makes one person forget his own self in a blink of an eye.

Love hurts. It makes one weep. It makes one miserable. They say if a person loves, it is impossible not to break your heart at the same time. You feel insecure, you feel out of place and at times you think you can’t breathe out of hurt.

If a person will be asked what’s important to them – happiness or wealth? Most people choose money. Because most of the time, wealth brings happiness to us. We can buy clothes, bags, shoes, gadgets, cars, house, whatever. Name it and you got it. Sky is the limit.

Sam Pinto, FHMs No. 1 Sexiest Woman for 2011

The Number 1 Sexiest Woman is now named and on board, new-comer actress, print-ad, runway, and commercial model Sam Pinto.

She’s a former “Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate ranked number 1 in men’s magazine FHM list of 100 Sexiest Women in the world for 2011.

Pinto beat Angel Locsin who was last year’s number 1 placing her to the 3rd spot. While Marian Rivera is in 4th place.

Stars included on the list are Angelica Panganiban, Iya Villania, Bianca Manalo and Anne Curtis.

It seems that Sam Pinto is finally rising from just a teeny bopper from the Big Brother House to one hot sexy woman who’s face can be seen everywhere. From television series, entertainment shows and commercials, Pinto seems to be unstoppable.

We just hope GMA 7 will give Pinto the break she deserves and give her more shows so she can be known not only for being a good model but as well as a premiere actres. Since she’s now ranked as the sexiest, we’re sure there will be a lot of critics out there who will compare her to previous title holders. But judging from her feisty attitude that matches her sex appeal, we know she can handle any kind of controversies thrown at her direction.

PNoy: Ibang Religious Groups, Nakinabang Din sa PCSO

Kahapon sa interbyu ni Pangulong Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino ay sinabi niyang may isa na namang religious group na posibleng tumanggap din di-umano ng ilegal na donasyon galing sa Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) sa ilalim ng dating administrasyong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Ayon kay Aquino, sinisimulan na nilang silipin ang grupong ito na kagaya ng ilang Obispo na nakatanggap ng malalaking biyaya galing sa nasabing ahensya. Duda sila sa ginamit na pondo para sa ipinatayong complex ngunit hindi naman kinilala ang punong ehekutibo.

Dahil sa kontrobersyang pagtanggap ng ilang mga Obispo ng mga sports vehicles at Pajero galing sa PCSO, desidido sila Aquino na hukayin at alamin pa ang mga taong nasa likod nito.

Kailan lang ay naglabas ng public apology ang CBCP sa publiko hinggil sa isyung ipinupukol sa kanila. Ngunit sa kabila nito, kailangan pa din daw ituloy ang imbestigasyon hinggil dito.

“Yung issue of separation of Church and state also impinges on another religious, Churches, papaano ba ito? Government funds were used in the construction of this complex that belongs to another religious order which we are also studying and trying to determine whether or not there were violations. Not the Catholic Church. That’s what I want to emphasize,” ani Aquino.

Sa kabilang banda, dapat naman talagang ayusin ang gusot na ito at alamin kung sino sino ang mga nagkasala sa gobyerno. Dapat lamang maging patas ang pangulo hinggil sa mga katiwaliang napupukol sa ahensyang gaya ng PCSO.

Malalaswang Billboards, Tinututulan

Ayon naman sa ibang celebrities, wala silang nakikitang malaswa sa billboard ng Rugby team.

“Its sexy but it’s classy,” ang sabi ng young actress na si Megan Young.

“Kaya nga tayo may gobyerno para sundin natin ang mga patakaran nila,” sabi naman ng aktor na si Paolo Paraiso.

Ang billboards ay nariyan upang ipakita sa mga tao ang mga iba’t-ibang produkto. Oo nga’t hindi malaswa ang billboard na ito ng Rugby team. Sa katunayan, nakikilala rin ang bagong sport na ito ng mga Pinoy. Ang Pilipinas ngayon ay unti-unti ng kumakawala sa konserbatibo nitong panininwala. Ngunit siguro naman ay maipapakita din natin ng mahusay ang ating mga produkto at mga sikat na personalidad na wala gaanong pinapakitang katawan o kung ano pa man. Kilala na rin ang Rugby team ngayon kagaya ng Team Azkals ngunit sana ay hindi lang sila makilala dahil sa kanilang taglay na kakisigan ng katawan ngunit dahil sa kanilang totoong husay sa kanilang sports.

PCSO Scandals: Usok sa Isang Napakalaking Sunog

Ayon sa isang mataas na opisyal ng Philippine Charity Sweepstakes office (PCSO), and mga kinakaharap nilang mga scandal ngayon ay “just tip of iceberg.” Kumbaga, usok sa isang malaking sunog.

Hindi pa dito nagtatapos ang lahat. Sa dami ba namang iniwang kabulastugan ng dating adminstrasyong Arroyo sa PCSO, mahaba pa ang kanilang lalakbayin upang maayos ang mga isyung ito.

“There are still a lot of revelations which are expected in the next months.” Sa kabilang banda, si Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs Ronald Llamas ay nagsabing ang PCSO scandal ay maiuugnay pa sa ibang gusot gaya ng alleged electoral fraud na ginawa ng dating administrasyon. Ayon kay Llamas, ang mga senatorial candidates na nakuha ang malaking kabuuan ng mga boto sa Maguindanao sa nakaraang May 2010 census ay nakinabang sa P150-million intelligence fund ng PCSO.

Kabilang na sa mga kontrobersyang ito ay ang di-umano’y pagkakasangkot ng simbahan sa pagtanggap ng ilang mga arsobispo ng mga mamahaling SUVs galing sa PCSO, mga malalaking halaga ng donasyon, at sa kabuuang P315-million scam na winaldas ng dating administrasyon.

Dahil dito ay handang ituwid at ayusin ng bagong administrasyong Aquino ang mga naiwang gusot na ito. Hindi daw nila papaburan ang mga mapapatunayang nagkasala lalo na ang nasabing pagkakaugnay ng simbahan dito.

Kalabisan talaga ang mga isyu na iniwan ng dating mga namumuno sa PCSO. Kundi rin siguro sa pilit na paghuhugas-kamay nila ay hindi rin makakalkal ang mga bahong iniwan nila. Isang halimbawa na dito si dating chairperson Manoling Morato.

Kamakailan, matatandaang kaliwa’t kanan ang mga pagpapa-interview at paglalabas “di umano” nila ng katotohanan. Ngayon ang katotohanan ay lumalabas na talaga. Kahit anong kasinunagalingan ang sabihin nila ay lalabas at lalabas pa din kung ano ang totoo at sino ang tama. Ngayon, siguradong nangiginig na sa takot ang mga totoong may sala at malamang ay kanya-kanyang isip na sila kung ano pa ang pwede nilang gawin para iligtas ang kanilang sarili.

Sana lang ay talagang maparusahan ang mga nagnakaw ng kaban ng bayan. Sana ay hindi na rin pamarisan ito ng mga bagong namumuno sa PCSO.

Morato: Hearing was Politically Motivated

Sa mga nakaraang anomalya ng dating administrasyong Arroyo sa PCSO, on process ngayon ang hearing sa Senado hinggil sa kaliwa’t kanang mga kaso na idinidikit sa mga dating namuno sa ahensyang ito. Kasama na dito ang P315-Milyon na pinakawalan at winaldas di-umano ng dating admistrasyon, ang pagbigigay ng labis labis na donation sa simbahan upang maging “areglo o regalo” at ang kontrobersyal na mamahaling utility vehicles at Pajeros na iniregalo sa ilang mimyembro o ilang mga arsobispo sa CBCP.

Sa hearing na naganap noong nakaraang Huwebes, sinabi ni Former Philippine Charity Sweeptakes Office chairman and director Manoling Morato na disappointed siya at halatang biased daw and in favored sila sa dating PCSO board members ang nangyaring senate hearing.

“It is obvious that the hearing was politically motivated.” ani Morato.

Dagdag pa niya, “Since they are in power now, they obviously want to pin down Arroyo.” – which is meron naman talagang mga sapat na ebidensya kaya nga sinisimulan na and imbestigasyon.

Sa kabilang banda, sinabi ni former PCSO Vice Chairman and General Manager Rosario Uriate na ang current PCSO board members daw and nag submit ng 2009 financial report sa COA. Kaya ang mga binibintang sa kanila ay pawang mga kasinungalingan at wala silang mabigat na ebidensya. Ngunit intinanggi naman ito current PCSO director Atty. Aleta Tolentino.

Dahil kung iisipin ay siya naman talaga ang nagsimulang magtatalak sa media at walang tigil sa pagpapa-interview noon hinggil sa mga katiwalian sa loob ng PCSO. Ngayong sumiklab na ang usok ay mistulang pilit silang nag huhugas kamay.

Pilit na ipinagtatanggol ang isat-isa samantalang sila naman talaga ay may mga kinalaman sa mga bahong ito. Pilit nilang pinababango ang kanilang mga sarili at matatandaang hinamon pa nitong si Morato sila Margie Juico na ilabas ang kanilang mga ebidensya.

Upang ipagtanggol ang nasabing pagiging “unfair” diumano sa imbistigasyon na isinasagawa ngayon ng Blue Ribbon Committee, sinabi ni Chair Senator Teofisto ‘TG’ Guingona, “Such impressions have no basis in facts. Nagsagawa tayo ng dalawang hearings at pinakinggan natin ang panig ng bawat isa. Una, ang panig ng kasalukuyang board at pangalawa ang panig ng nakaraang board ng PCSO. That should be enough assurance that the process is fair to all.”

O, ayan Morato. Siguro naman ay malinaw ang sinabi nilang ito na hindi sila biased at pinakikinggan nila ang different sides ng kwento. It should be enough na rin upang manahimik ka.

Azkals: Dogs in Heat?

Azkals gained their popularity not only because of their good looks and hot bodies but as well as their skill in football. While the team is busy training and the popularity that they are having right now, Team Azkals today has been implicated regarding the “Rape Controversy” which is now spreading on the tabloids, internet and popular social networking sites.

According to the news, someone named Paul Vieler wrote and accused four of the team Azkals allegedly raped a woman in the house of their manager Dan Palami. With this accusation, he named the four Azkals, Neil Etheridge, Anton del Rosario, Simon Greatwich at Jason Sabio. But the four immediately denied it to the press.

Since Azkals claims these accusations were all false and malicious, they are more concern to their upcoming game than focusing on detractions like this.

I know, a lot of people will agree. Azkals doesn’t need to rape someone or anyone. I mean, reality check. They have good looks and all that they don’t need to induced or force someone to sleep with them.

Maybe just maybe, this person who claims that she was raped or something was rejected by them. These kind of things happen so let’s not jump into conclusions first. If this person is really saying the truth, then she needs to present necessary evidence. She should show it to the court for proper investigation.

News on TV: Window to The World

I’ve been fond of different activities like watching movies, hanging out in the mall with friends, having coffee while smoking, blogging and such. These are the things that I normally do on my free time. Actually I don’t like watching TV, possibly I’ll watch TV series, music channels like MTV, sports, anything that will entertain me.

Now, I’ve been working as a blogger for almost 2 months. As a blogger, we need to know what’s happening and what’s the latest juice. What will make your readers read your articles. And with this, we need to watch the latest news or read. Whether local or foreign, we need to know what’s happening around us and be aware of the issues on going right now in our civilization.

As I’ve mentioned, I was never really a fan of watching TV, like focusing on it for the sake of self education or making myself aware of what’s up. I simply didn’t care.

But now, I actually learned how important watching the news is. I mean, not because I’m working as a blogger or something. It’s just that I realized that knowing what’s going on around you is simply being a relevant person who belongs to one society, interesting and far from being ignorant. Though we all know that most of the time, whenever we turn on our TV, all we see are bad and negative stuff. We seldom see news that will brighten up our day.

However, that’s reality. I think the main purpose why news are like that is because it makes us conscious to protect ourselves more everyday, to let us see that in our world we live in, million of things happens every minute. For us to realize how lucky for us to still sit in our couch and turn on the remote of our televisions. Whether it’s about fighting politicians, murder, crime, city development, entertainment; we still need to get involve somehow.

Watching the news is essential. I can say it is a must for everybody in this world we live in. It is our window to the real world.

When You Find Yourself Missing

Missing someone is a feeling easy to explain yet very hard to undergo. It’s a feeling of longing and desire to see and be with someone you haven’t seen for a long time or even for a while. People might feel upset, worry, find it hard to sleep, having loss of appetite and such. It’s a feeling of emptiness. Something you don’t want to feel even just for a day.

But all of us experience missing someone. A friend, a family member, or a partner. Sometimes, people don’t know the real importance of someone until they feel blank because of their absence. Most of the time, they won’t admit it. And most of the time, they just won’t nurse the feeling of it.

In life, there are certain things why someone should let go of a person. It might be for the meantime, for a certain period and for good. “For the mean time,” like if you have a partner whom you can’t see for one or two days. This kind of situation however, is normal. Sometimes we need to miss someone so we’ll be eager to see them. “For a certain period of time,” is when a family member or our loved ones need to go abroad to work or something. They do this because of different reasons like work growth, vacation, financial etc. Lastly, “For good”, someone you broke up with and promised not to see each other again… and worse, someone you care for and is special to you passed away. This kind of feeling can make someone crazy. Something that needs special care and understanding.

Craving for something to eat is hard, you toss and turn, not stopping until you get what you want. What if it’s longing for someone so dear to you? Especially when you spent most of your time with them. You’ll feel so vulnerable without your other half. You will feel its as if you can’t move without them.

They say, if you miss someone, just look on the moon at night and surely the person far from you sees it on the other side. Whether he/she’s on the far side of the world, what’s important is you see a light together and wishes at the same time that you will be together soon.

I once read, “Let go of the hand of the person you love, but don’t let go of God’s hand for if you hold on to His, He may be holding the person you love in the other hand to let you hold each other again.” Sounds easy, but I know for sure, these words are hard enough for a broken heart, for someone missing a person they love.

Time. God only knows when the two souls will meet again. For those empty times you feel like its hard to breathe. There are many reasons why you should go on and breathe for the one you love. Do something worthwhile, take care of yourself, never stop caring and loving for others and lastly, don’t forget to pray. Acceptance is one big assurance to one’s self that you can carry on with your life. Never stop asking and hoping that someday you would finally hug each other tightly in your arms.

I miss someone right now. And I think that is why I’m writing this. I just wish he would know how empty I am not seeing him. Not being with him in times I feel like crying. How I wish I could be with him whenever he feels he’s all alone. How I wish I could look at his eyes and tell him how dark my days were when he’s not beside me.

But I know, we will see each other again. Maybe not today, nor tomorrow.

But in God’s time we will. I miss someone. And I miss the laughter, care and love shared together.

Because of the anomalies that Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo left and the detailed breakdown of P315 Million intelligence fund of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), people are now asking what comes next. And most importantly where did this huge amount of budget go? This is the million-dollar question that the Senate should answer now.

Aside from the “Pajero Controversy,” people should know the names of those pockets and bank accounts did those funds go. Since this is a huge amount of money, the Senate already called the bishops who allegedly received and got big donations from PCSO.

According to reports, last 2008, P75 Million was released. P25 Million last April 2, P50 Million last April 13. After a year, P90 Million was released last January 19, P10 Million on April 27, P10 Million on July 2 and P20 Million on October 19. And on 2010, it was P150 Million, P160 Million on January 4 and P10 Million on February 25 which was the campaign season.

Since proper investigations are now on order, it’s just right for us to know who’s saying the truth. A reasonable explanation is required to those names mentioned in this said issue.

Philippines, as they say belongs to the poor countries all over the world. But why these vast amounts of money were used and disappeared just like that? These are the money of the Filipino people and shouldn’t be used by a blood-sucking monster who wants themselves be called as leaders of our country. And this money could have been a very big help to those who are in great need.

We just hope these anomalies will be soon fixed by PNoy’s administration and it should not jeopardize the remaining trust of the Filipinos.

Philippines and pirated DVDs: Goodbye na!

I’am fond of collecting DVDs. At sa Pinas, uso ang pirated. Hindi dahil kuripot ang mga pinoy kundi maikukumparang mas mura ito kaysa sa mga orihinal na kopya. I admit, halos lahat ng mga DVD ko sa bahay ay puro japeyk. Pero malinaw ito at ang the best, nabili ko ang mga ito sa murang halaga. Ngunit hindi ko sinusulat ito dahil I’m supporting pirated things such as DVDs. Ngunit dahil nabasa ko na ‘goodbye’ na ang Pinas sa problemang ito.

Naturang magaling ang pamumuno ng The Optical Media Board o OMB sa ilalim ni Ronnie Ricketts. Biruin mong nakumbinse niya ang mga Muslim community sa Quiapo Maynila na i-surrender ang worth P10 million na mga pirated DVDs na ito. Ofcourse, meron pa din mga mabibili nito sa tabi-tabi ngunit ang mahalaga ay nasimulan na itong linisin at mabawasan kaysa noon na lantaran talaga ang pagbebenta nito sa mga kalsada ng kamaynilaan. Meron pa yung mga scene na sisigaw ang isang nagtitinda sa quiapo sabay takbo bitbit sa mga paninda niya. Kaloka…LOL!

“Sa ngayon, ang Pinas ay wala nang mga di umano’y “watch list” o priority list. At isa itong magandang balita”. ayon kay Ricketts. Sabi pa niya ay alam niyang meron pa ding INTEL pero hindi na daw ito kasinglaki kagaya ng dati. ‘Ito ay magiging Domino effect‘, dagdag pa niya at they’re hoping na tuluyang mawawala na ito sa susunod na taon.

So paano na? siguro ay matitigil na ang pagkolekta ng mga avid fan ng mga movies kagaya ko. Well, meron naman mga original eh. Yun nga lang medyo may kamahalan ito. Pero ok lang. At least sumusunod tayo sa matuwid na landas. At isa pa, nandiyan naman ang mga sinehan na kinahiligan ko rin naman.

Siguro ay mas mabuti na nga ito kaysa naman tawagin tayo at ang Pilipinas na ‘Land of Pirated’… Na may kakayahan pa din ang ating bansa na ituwid ang iligal at masamang gawaing kagaya ng pag bebenta ng mga ipinagbabawal na fake DVDs.
Sana’y magtagal ito at tuluyan nang hindi suportahan ng mga Pinoy. Tingnan nalang natin kung epektibo nga ang bagong administrasyon ng OMB.

CBCP on RH Bill

These past few months, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) is facing tons of issues. Most recently alleged news about some bishops who received cars from PCSO under its past administration under ex-president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Aside from this, they are also facing the fight against the Divorce and RH Bill. In a report from CBCP News, President Nereo Odchimar said “we have been in difficult times made more difficult because of the situation and issues.” In addition, they said that the fight was even made tougher with President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino himself supporting the RH bill.

But what is really tougher than facing a disgrace such as the cars being given to them from PGMA? RH Bill and the divorce Bill are there because these people who made it wants to make a solution on what our country is facing right now such as poverty and woman abuse.

It is not the CBCP who will fix problems like over growth of population or hospitalized abused wives. Instead of making this as their number one concern, I think they should take care first of how to clean the name of the church because of the Pajero Anomalies.

They should face it first than thinking about the RH Bill or Divorce Bill in which they always seem to disagree. The Pajero anomaly actually makes me think, how come some of them entertained this kind of doing than what is rightfully more interesting or what will help our community.

CBCP should furthermore fix it first than making the RH and Divorce Bill their main concern.

Tropical depression Goring: Aarangkada!

Wala na ba talagang tigil ang ulan? This past few months, wala nang pahinga ang mga bagyong pumapasok sa Pinas. Minsan nalang kung makita ang ating haring araw. Malamig, masarap mag-stay sa bahay. Ngunit paano ang mga nilabhan na hirap matuyo? Ang walang katapusang traffic at ang pagbaha sa iba’t-ibang lugar sa kamaynilaan.

Ayon sa PAGASA, ang tropical depression at kung sakaling mtuloy na bagyo ay tatawaging “Goring”. Ito’y mananatiling umaarangkada ngayong weekend hanngang sa mga susunod na araw. Meron itong bilis na 55 kilometers per hour. Sa ngayon, wala pa silang idinidekralang public storm signal kaya tuloy ang klase bukas sa mga paaralan sa Maynila.

Ayos lang naman ang ulan…sana nga lang ay hindi na bumaha at walang masaktan dulot ng mga sakuna. Sana ay walang masyadong mga pamilya ang maapektuhan dito.
So, siguradong traffic nanaman kasabay ng pag-ulan. Sa mga papasok sa school at sa mga trabaho, siguraduhing bumangon ng maaga bukas at bilisan ang kilos kung ayaw mahuli.

At higit sa lahat ay siguraduhing magdala ng payong at mag ingat.

Love and Destiny

If you love someone genuinely, does it mean that you are meant to be? Does it mean that you are what you call “destiny?” True love does exist but it doesn’t mean it will last until you want it to. As they say, love is a feeling that’s very essential to one relationship, but relationship needs hard work for it to last. Patience, trust, effort etc.

Love is kind. But faith is not. Sometimes, storms and trials will try to take over and it will take the best out of you. But then, it is a chance for you to show how deep and how willing you are to face these trials. For these are trials from God. He’s the one who knows what our heart’s true desire and what our hopes are.

All of us are dreaming of a happy-ever-after kind of stories. Those we see in movies and fairy tales. If only these are true, then maybe one wouldn’t cry over something anymore. People say love is beautiful but it is also equivalent to sorrow and hurt. Love is not an assurance of happiness, for it is an assurance of contentment. Something u choose to have and not to have.

Love is something you feel not only for your partner, it is what you feel towards a friend, a family member or anyone special to you. But love is not always unconditional. Sometimes, love gets lost. It fades like the rain and the stars in the night.

But then, all of us still hope that someday we will find our one great true love. Someone we will spend the rest of our lives with and someone who will take care of us till we get old.

Destiny is a magical thing. They say destiny is faith’s gift to us. Something we don’t know and cannot conclude. The things we never ought to know but we need to face when the right time comes. Whether it is good or bad; happy or sad… Destiny always finds its way home. Without a compass and without a map but with a heart that follows what we truly desire.

Love and destiny: Always tied in one. But not always a perfect equation but takes a lot of effort to solve. Love is everlasting and destiny is what we fulfill. It takes courage, will and a lot of effort to make our own.

The Alcohol is Talking

Most of the time, we go out with friends and colleagues to have fun after work or on a weekend. And yes, partying wouldn’t be complete without some booze in between. Whether we admit it or not, most of the time we get drunk and starts to do some weird stuff like dancing like crazy, making corny jokes and saying things you don’t mean or let’s just say out of drunkenness. I’d like to call this the “Word Vomit” or something like the ‘talking alcohol.'

Words you can’t control. Actions you didn’t planned to act. Worst things like some sort of the Hangover movie…But why are these kinds of things happening? Is it just because of you’re drunk or there’s a hidden reason within?

Problems, insecurities, jealousy… People say, we speak of the truth when we’re under the influence of alcohol. We tend to say something, something which is in our mind and heart for along time. Words we can’t express to someone we know. But for some reasons, this incidents lead to a disaster. It’s a situation that can either make or break you.

What funny is most of the time, we don’t remember the things we said and the things we did after it. Because we care for our hangover and how to get rid of its annoying effect.

Then after, what happens next? As I said this act will either make or break you. And yes, since you don’t remember things, your friends on that particular given day will tell you stories. Stories you don’t want to hear. Stuff you’ll be ashamed of.

The talking alcohol… it is really we? Yes, I think so. It’s just the alcohol that influenced us to be foolish, brave, and sometimes tactless. And its all I know who had helped me change for a better person and learn from my mistakes…

Scream of the Ghost Review

Last Friday, me and my boyfriend watched a movie in the cinemas after we had dinner. At that point, no other good movies were showing other than Transformers 3, which we’ve already watched, so we didn’t had any choice but to chose ‘Scream of the Ghost’.

I told my guy, maybe this movie is quite good because I have seen the trailer and it’s quite interesting. And he agreed with me. The movie is about a girl named Claire. She traveled with her boyfriend to her hometown in the woods in which her father Bill, younger sister Jen and old grandmother Nana is living. The Nana, (which I can say has this really creepy face in the movie) is about to pass away because of long-time illness. Then, she starts talking to Claire about a strange woman known as “The Banshee” that will take care of her after her death. Claire learns that the Banshee actually exists, and has to fight against this female ghost and the spirits who wants to damn the entire family.

I thought it was really creepy because the sound effects and scenery from the beginning is really daunting. But as the movie goes, it got boring and scary at the same time.

Effects are good. Especially the face of the ghost woman, the make-up, the actors and actresses were not that famous but it actually worked for the movie. The settings of the film was really scary. Just imagine you’re living in an old house like castle in the middle of the woods with only 3 people around. And the sound effects, man it was nice! Whenever the ghost screams, you’ll feel goose bumps!

But what dismayed me is the overall story of it. It lacked something. As the story goes, it seem to turn tasteless. The effects were still there and I still scream every now and then but the story itself goes to a series of unfortunate events which the writer didn’t even explain well as why it is happening. As to why creepy things started to happen. The ghost kills the characters. It was literally a ghost who has a big knife and will run after you and stab you to death. I mean, in reality, ghost would scare you off but maybe not bash you in the back.

My boyfriend actually jokingly laughed at me because I chose the movie. We had a very nice time though since we’re together. But money wise, I just hope we bought something else than watching this film.

Getting Fit The Right Way, For The Right Reasons

My friends and I are planning to hit the gym. I think we’re all gaining weight and starting to get conscious in some way – and I admit that. Before I used to wear spaghetti strapped tops and baby tees but now, hmmm. I know I can still carry myself well but I guess I want to look nicer and be more confident, looks-wise.

I hate to say and even think about dieting. I mean I love food. I love cooking and sometimes, pigging out with my friends. But this has to stop. I need to learn how to control what and how I eat and how to do it healthily both at the same time. But don’t get me wrong. No offense to anyone who has weight issues, but I am not fat. I just feel like I really don’t have any means of having myself healthy.

Last night I was watching Biggest Loser, and according to one of the trainers, it is not right to starve yourself if you are planning to lose weight. One must balance everything. Having proper exercise, eating healthy and being positive about life.

My friend and I visited a gym near their place. It’s quite cheap and talking about fit people, my friend and I got thrilled to work out seeing these fine looking guys. So, we’re like decided already and all but we’re still thinking when we’re going to start. I guess that’s the main problem, not just with me and my friend, but also other people who wants to start making a difference on their body and health. We all don’t know how to start.

I really think that this is very essential indeed. Simple questions as to when, where, how, and most importantly why. I know for a fact, once you got the answers to these questions, everything will go on just as smoothly as you want it to be.

Aside from getting fit by exercising and eating healthy, we are also planning to engage in interesting activities like joining a fun run, go mountain climbing and traveling. In fact, I think the main reason why we started thinking about getting fit is because of the trip to El Nido, Palawan on August. We all think it’s better to be healthy and sexy before we even go there. Maybe just at least level with the beautiful scenery of this place.


So, let me just answer the questions I left earlier...

When? I need to start as soon as possible. Monday next week?
Where? At the gym and at home.
How? By enrolling right away.
And most importantly, why? To look good not only for others but to look good deep within myself.

Nagkaroon ng live interview si ex-PCSO chairman Manoling Morato kaninang umaga sa GMA News Online hinggil sa kinakaharap ngayong anomalya sa PCSO ni dating President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Ito ay tungkol sa mga sasakyang ibinigay diumano ni Arroyo sa mga arsobispo bilang donation sa kanilang nasasakupang sibahan.

Ani Morato, “Walang masama sa pag-donate sa simbahan.” Yan ang pinanggigigilang sabihin sa live interview na ito ni Morato. “There’s nothing wrong in giving, its charity and when it comes to charity, wala dapat pulitika.” Dagdag pa niya.

TATTOOED

Just recently I had my sixth and seventh tattoo. Yes, I have a lot. I started to become fascinated with tattoos when I was still in high school. I remember how hot henna was at that time. We even bought those small sachets of Bigen hair color which served as the ink for our henna session. But then, I told myself I wouldn’t have one until I graduate from college. And so I did. And it all started there.


I was hanging out in a coffee shop in Makati area that time after a lazy day I spent in the hospital for a check up a week after I got hospitalized. So, I was with my Iranian friend who’s ever supportive of my tattoo plans. He said there’s this shop he knows and he can accompany me to go there. So, as a person who agrees easily, we went to that place and began drinking two bottles of Red Horse. Talk about the anxiousness that night.


Damn, I panicked when I saw the artist preparing his paraphernalia for the main event. It was way crazier than I expected. The needle, the light, chair, gloves, tissue, cotton, petroleum jelly, etc. The preparation itself made me just want to bring my ass out from that studio from hell. I thought I was about to be cut in two. Anyway, I told myself, I was already there. And I’m willing to face my fear. For my first one, I chose a heart with wings on it and with a sash on my right upper back. Stupid, eh? I don’t even know why I decided to put a ribbon on it. Maybe I was still naive about designs and stuff that’s why I wasn’t really sure what I really like to put that time. It went successful indeed. I liked it. After 2 hours of excruciating pain, it paid off. After two days, my mom saw it and as usual, she began to rant at me whole day and night.


After a year and a half, I decided to add more. I missed the needle. As they say, after having inked, you will definitely return for more. I was working in a call center and I knew a guy who knows how to to put tattoos. Though he’s not a certified artist yet, I trusted him and agreed to have my second piece. In fact, he offered it for free. Lucky m! It was an alibata scripture on my right lower arm. I wanted to have something in my body that will say I’m a proud Filipino. The scripture means “Filipino.” A four word syllable that you will not understand unless you are fond of history. It was quite plain. But a lot of my friends liked it when it was done.


Down with the third now, actually I had my third and fourth on the same day, by the same artist who was then friend of my ex. It was a scorpion symbol on my left lower arm and a lotus flower on my left lower leg. I chose that scorpion design because obviously it’s my zodiac sign, and the lotus, because my ex has it on his arm. I just liked how it looked and unlike the traditional rose which most girls put on their bodies, I preferred doing the lotus. It isn’t done yet, actually. The colors I planned for it isn’t there yet. But I’m planning to finish it maybe after a month or so.


Then came my fifth. “Vivere Senza Rimpianti” on my lower nape. An Italian phrase which means to live without regrets. I chose this because I like the meaning. It suits me well because of the many hardships I had in my life. Those previous experiences that made me stronger. And I don’t regret making any of them simply because it changed me for the better. It was a big one and it did hurt a lot. But all was worth it when I saw the outcome.

Now, I had my latest and probably my last. I had it last week and I planned for it for a year. الإرادة مفتاح للقوة It is an Arabic writing which means “The will is the key to strength.” It was translated by a friend. I actually got the inspiration of this from actress, Angelina Jolie who also has a tattoo in the same language. I decided to put it on my left shoulder and the seventh is a musical note just under my right lower ear, just underneath the lobe so it would look discreet. It’s very interesting since it is the smallest yet the most painful one so far.

Now, I have seven all in all, and I think this is already enough since I originally planned to have seven since it is my favorite number. And if someone will ask how come I have a lot of tattoos, I will just simply say that this is something I want and won’t regret for the rest of my life.

Casiños to the Eigenmanns: We Want DNA Testing

“We welcome DNA Test.” Albie Casiño’s family said. Reportedly, ex-girlfriend Andi Eigenmann is 4 months pregnant. The young actress’ mother told media last week while crying. The veteran actress was devastated by the issue and said she’s still on the process of accepting it. Andi, just turned 21 last June 25 and as a young lady with a blossoming showbiz career, family and fans were surprised about it.

Albie’s mother, who is being suspected as the father of Andi’s child, said in an interview that there’s no problem if her son is the biological father of child. “Babies are blessing.” she added. But they want a DNA test. Nowadays, this procedure can be performed even the mother is still pregnant. They will get amniotic fluid to check the DNA and compare it to the alleged father.

Andi’s family still keeping their silence after the interview with Jacklyn Jose. And they don’t have plans in divulging more information about the apparent identity of the real father of Andi’s offspring.

This said DNA Test will sure be a great deal with both parties. The Eigenmann family is now facing an immense wound because of this matter. Coming from a well off and famous family of showbiz stars, surely Andi is as much as upset as her parents are.

Every mother knows who the father of their child is. At least they have to know from the start. Who knows who, but if Albie Casiño is the real father and she knows that in her heart, then I think there’s no nee

Bicol Express, Nag-iinit Na!

My mom is from the province of Bicol, particularly in Iriga City. Isang beses pa lang ako nakapunta doon. Natuwa ako ng ipinakita sa telebisyon ang nasabing newly improved na Bicol Express. Ssosyal at para bagang mga train sa ibang bansa ang train natin ngayon. May aircon na, maganda ang facilities, may CR, at magaganda talaga ang mga seats at higaan na ginawa para sa mga pasehero nito.

Sa Tourist Section, ang upuan ay naiikot, pwedeng harapan. Ang lakas maka-Harry Potter papuntang Hogwarts. Ang Family Cabin naman, may room at grupo ng mga double-deck na kama sa loob na mukha naman comfortable. At ang executive section, ano pa ba? Mukha talagang pang mayaman. May malaking bed, animo’y di mo mamamalayan na nasa biyahe ka pala, matulog ka nalang.

Magkakaroon pa ng kaabang-abang na pagbabago sa Bicol Express gaya ng paglalagay ng TV screens, libreng pag gamit ng wi-fi network, at isang restaurant. That’s nice!
Ngayon, pag tinanong ako ng mama ko kung gusto kong sumama sa kanya papuntang Bicol, ang sagot ko siguro ay “depende.” Bakit? Kasi dapat libre niya! Pero mukhang napakagandang karanasan ang biyaheng papuntang Bicol lalo na ang pagsakay sa bagong Bicol Express.

Sana ay magkaroon pa ang ating bansa ng mga magagandang trasportasyon gaya nito. Biyahe na!

Young Star Andi Eigenmann, 18 Weeks Pregnant

Veteran actress Jacklyn Jose’s daughter is pregnant. A crying Jose revealed it last night in the news. Her daughter, a young actress and model Andi Eigenmann is exactly 18 weeks and 2 days pregnant.

Andi just turned 21 last June 25 and her mother was devastated when she found out about what her dear daughter is under going right now. According to Jose, she first went to the church and prayed for acceptance when she knew this. She also added she doesn’t want talk about the father of the baby. Also, she was proud of Andi for keeping the child even after her boyfriend left her.

Also, Jose asked for acceptance from the people who love them. “My daughter made a mistake; I’m not saying it is right. Just please don’t judge, just give her another chance since it’s her own life that she’s dealing with.” Jose said to the media.
Jose, however won’t name who’s the father of her daughter’s baby. But it was said on a lot of newspapers and on what is circulating the media and social networking sites that Albie Casino, Mara’s leading man in ABS-CBN’s soap Mara Clara was the father of her child. Most probably it was because of the ongoing word war that better fortifies speculations on their recent break up.

On the said issue, People shouldn’t judge her. I’m not a fan of her. I’m just simply saying this because I, myself is a young mother. I got pregnant when I was 18 years old. And I must say it’s not easy especially if you still have a lot to do for your future.

Keeping the child, as Andi decided… I think she’s being matured and responsible about the issue. There are a lot of mothers out there who’s even older than her, but decided to abort their child just because they can’t take care of them. Fore me, it’s not about the age. Yes, it contributes a big factor to one’s capability to raise a child, but it about having the heart of a real mother that counts.

Even if you think you are ready or not, the most important thing is you are being responsible to all the consequences of whatever you are doing and standing up for your decision. At the end of the day, whatever judge and humiliation we get, it is our own selves who will still live our everyday.

HERE COMES THE SUN

Alas! Typhoon is now over and families whose flood victims can now breathe. Over those days that they didn’t know what to do on these kinds of situations. And finally they can go back to their respective homes.

Gone were the traffic days. When days were started with curse and hot headed office workers. Where vehicles are were just everywhere delaying any important meetings and where you stay up all night just to hail a cab just to finally go to sleep.

Now, mothers can wash their children’s clothes without putting a lot of fabric conditioner. Where they can hang their draws freely outside, where they won’t worry about the nasty smell rainy days bring to it.


Lastly, gone were the days you get wet despite of using an umbrella to shield your body from the rain. When a strong wind blew off women’s skirts and when you have to use your poor bag just to drape over your head.


The sun shines in my face… Oh yes! We’ve all seen and felt the heat of the sun after a series of dark, gloomy rainy days last week. Though I like rainy days since it makes me rest well and makes me want to just stay home, I still missed walking through the sun shine breeze, feeling the warmth of the rays to my skin.

Now, lets all be thankful that the hard rain grew tired of releasing its anger. That God allowed the king sun to rise again…

MORATO & GMA: AGAINST ALL ODDS

We all know that the all “good” Mr. Manoling Morato, have petitioned numerous cases of counter defense for him just to show to the public that he’s innocent and all. He even has the courage to tell Ms. Margie Juico, current chairperson of PCSO to bring her evidences in the court for proper hearing about issues that Morato was throwing to them. He in his previous interviews said Juico wasn’t an effective leader and PCSO lacked genuine honesty and dignity to even become the helping hand for the poor.

Now, it seems that Morato is now taking his own dose of medicine. For he is in center of the prying eyes of all media on which he actually called unfair. Dismaying it is, on how the public even has the time to listen on all Morato’s crap. Not even showing any proof on what comes out from his own mouth now he’s the one who has the guts to ask Juico and her administration the opposite. What a face?

Now, Ms. Margie Juico, with all her rights, is now starting to come up and stand up for the truth. At least she has the poise not to stoop down with Morato’s false allegations to her. Morato was asking for evidence? Then Juico will give it to him. She will show the public how disgusting Morato really is and how great lies shouldn’t exist in our world. Now, Margie Juico and PCSO will go to the court and show whose saying the truth by providing proof of Morato’s evilness. As they say Manoling, “Be careful what you wish for cos’ you just might get it.”

Plundering is what he’s favorite thing to do. And now, together with madam ex-president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, his royal highness, they will face the consequences of what they did to the money and wealth of the Filipinos. Go Ms. Margie Juico... Be strong and do what you have to do, against all odds. Malacanang has your support and so do we.
