Caught in the World Wide Web

Nowadays, the web wide world is widely used all over the world. From kids to old people; the internet has become an essential part of everyday lives of people from different countries.

According to the dictionary, the internet is a vast computer network linking smaller computer networks worldwide (usually preceded by the) Internet includes commercial, educational, governmental, and other networks, all of which use the same set of communications protocols.

You can use the net by using the traditional personal computer, laptop, gadgets like ipad, and smart mobile phones with the use of WiFi, DSL, and such.

The new generation has the chance to communicate quickly using the internet. They also use the web in making special researches and stuff. Rather than doing the old school library trip to do some study, people just check out the ever popular Google to make their projects, assignments etc. Actually the World Wide Web nowadays is a place where you can see and read everything that you want to know. Just a simple keyword can give you thousands of answers to an inquiry.

People are fond of different social networking sites like Youtube, Twitter, Tumbler, and the very popular Facebook. People spend a lot of hours or maybe their whole day checking out their accounts and looking at the latest happening about their families, friends or people who’s interesting for them. In the latest news about Facebook, this site already defeated Email as a form of communication.

Talking about the constructive effects of the internet, of course there are still bad sides to it. People, especially kids, forget other things that they have to do because of online gaming. These became very popular from ages 9-20 – even big guys still do play online because they find it very manly.

Scandals and gossips are also very popular on the internet. Literally, everything about everything. If you want to know what’s the latest juice about your favorite celebrities, just type in their name and you will be as updated as you want to be.

Also, on the past reports, there were numerous cases of murders associated with these social networking sites. The problem is people tend to be affable to other people even if they don’t actually know them personally and they give their trust to other people they just knew on sites like these. Chats are everywhere. If you need someone to talk to, you can just grab your keyboard and start typing. This is somehow a good kind of release though, but meeting and actually divulging yourself too much on the internet might get you in trouble.

The internet is very essential and it is a very helpful and easy means of communicating to other people all over the world. Who knows, in the future, our next generation might still use it or maybe a better version of it. Everything is good when we don’t abuse it.

We must learn how to be responsible enough to use this gift of technology.
